I’m just back from a short trip to New York City, and - as always - it was a lot of fun.

I was glad to finally have the chance to meet some of the photographers who I have been talking about here, namely Amy, Richard, and Shen, and to see their work in person rather than online. Richard’s work is currently up at Yossi Milo, and if you get the chance to see it, don’t miss it! Likewise, don’t miss Misty Keasler’s “Love Hotels” at Jenkins Johnson or Hellen van Meene’s work at Yancey Richardson (in addition, they have some of Laura Letinsky’s photography up, so that’s another reason to go). Also, you can see some of Ian Baguskas’ work at Jen Bekman, and that’s worth the trip down from Chelsea (if I’m getting my NYC geography right here). I forgot the name (and location) of the gallery that shows one of Thomas Ruff’s Nudes, which I found quite a bit more spectacular than expected.
